Mr. Marck served as a volunteer Scientific Diver for the New England Aquarium in Boston, Massachusetts and is a member of the Massachusetts Marine Educators Association, Southwest Marine / Aquatic Educator’s Association as well as the National Marine Educators Association.
Beverly "Bev" Marck |
Beverly Marck was an integral part of the formation of UETC. She was the videographer and co-producer of the entire award-winning cable series, "New England Underwater." She traveled with the Dive Team all over New England to capture the above-water video scenes required to make these top-notch, educational documentaries. This included visits to the New England Aquarium to tape the rehabilitation of stranded sea turtles. Her most memorable "New England Underwater" assignment was actually being able to get into the water with Beluga Whales while videotaping an episode at the Mystic Aquarium in Connecticut! She was always there to support activities of the Merrimack Valley Dive Club as well as attending Sea Rovers and many other dive-related functions, cook-outs and Coast Sweep. She was also a member of the Reef Environmental Education Foundation. |
Ouside of volunteering for UETC, Beverly worked as a personnel recruiter for a Fortune 500 company. She was a life-long animal-lover with many years experience owning and showing horses. She could always be counted on to save a stranded animal - whether it be an abandoned feline or a small cricket which has found its way into the home - Beverly would go to whatever lengths required to save the animal in need.
